MOVING SERVICE
Storage Planning
Storage transitions work best when cartons and furniture are packed for retrieval, ventilation, stacking, access, and the expected storage period.
Separate access priorities
- Items needed soon should remain accessible rather than placed at the back of a unit.
- Clearly mark fragile, heavy, and do-not-stack cartons.
- Create a simple inventory or zone map for longer storage periods.
Protect furniture
Use clean breathable protection where appropriate, keep hardware labeled, and avoid placing heavy items on delicate upholstery or unsupported surfaces.
Moisture and temperature
Sensitive paper, electronics, artwork, instruments, certain furniture, photographs, and other materials can be affected by humidity and heat. Choose storage conditions appropriately.
Transition planning
Confirm how the items will move into storage, how long they may stay, and how they will be loaded again for final delivery.
Planning note: Actual availability, service area, insurance/licensing, prohibited items, pricing, crew size, truck size, and special-item handling must be confirmed with the operating business before scheduling.
